About the client The risk of Afghanistan sliding back into anarchy and warlordism is ever present. Therefore, the Government of Afghanistan is continuously striving to establish and expand an Afghan police force that is capable, trained and equipped. As part of this initiative, Regional Training Camps have been constructed in Mazar-e Sharif in Northern Afghanistan with support from the US government.
Background In the summer, temperatures in Northern Afghanistan can reach up to 48 degrees. The Afghan police suffered severely under the climatic conditions that grew far worse by the woollen uniforms of the cadets and classrooms made out of wood with tin roofs. The training repeatedly had to be interrupted.
The Afghan Police finally declared that these conditions were unacceptable for the continuation of the program under these conditions. A series of emails went back and forth between the American contractor in charge of camp management, the US Embassy and the Afghan Ministry of Interior, and finally reached the State Department and the White House in a point in time when the White House had just announced that the police training was well on the way.
The challenge The request received by RA International was very clear, very simple, yet very challenging: Help us! Help alleviate the situation for the Afghan police personnel. Now!!
The solution RA International responded immediately and was able to supply several dozens of ventilators and fans out of its central warehouse in Kabul.
Due to the urgency of the procurement request, our project managers chartered a small aircraft to leave for Mazar-e Sharif the same day.
The result Thanks to our expertise in supply chain management and our developed logistics infrastructure, we were able to find a solution in all aspects related to this request.
We are proud that even under difficult circumstances we can offer quality services with a very short response time. We'll deliver. Regardless!
